Hi, family. We wanted to give you an update on our plans for classes as we consider COVID-19, school and business closures, and social distancing.
The number one edict of the MDK instructor has been, and will always be, safety of the student. We have decided it is in the best interests for all involved to suspend classes for the immediate time being.
As of this moment, we plan to follow the guidance of the Runnemede school district and of the church itself. That said, we will be suspending all classes effective immediately, through at least March 31, 2020. We will review the ongoing situation and make adjustments accordingly.
On a more personal note, and in the spirit of full transparency, Master Blair did become ill this past week. On Friday he was swabbed for rapid flu (negative) and COVID-19 (results pending). We believe his doctor was being as cautious as possible, but he did qualify for testing considering we have had a few sick students, his age, and his other risk-factors. We were told it will take up to 5 days for him to receive test results and will let you know as soon as we have results available.
Stay tuned. We have some plans for some quick online videos and the red belts will continue to receive their home training assignments.
